Instructions:

Soak dried figs and dates in warm water for 20–30 minutes to soften.

Drain the water and grind into a coarse paste.

Heat 5 g (1 tsp) ghee in a pan on low flame.

Add sattu and roast for 2–3 minutes until fragrant.

Combine roasted sattu, dates–fig paste, cardamom powder, and chopped almonds in a bowl.

Mix well to form a dough.

If too dry, add 1–2 teaspoons warm milk for binding.

Take about 25 g portions and roll into balls.

Flatten slightly to make pedas.

Garnish with nut slivers (optional).
